The Perfect Bubble (Boba) Tea is Easier Than You Thought

Enjoy this delicious and relatively easy to make Bubble Tea! 

・ 3 cups strongly brewed tea (whatever black tea you fancy) 
・ 4 tablespoons sugar (or to taste) 
・ 1/2 cup milk
・ 1/2 cup dry tapioca pearls

DIRECTIONS: Brew the tea. While it’s still hot, add the sugar and stir the tea to dissolve it. Chill the tea mixture until it is completely cold. Cook tapioca pearls according to package instructions. Divide the warm tapioca pearls into 2-(16 oz) glasses. Pour the cold tea into the two glasses and then pour 1/4 cup milk over the top of all of it. Stir it up and enjoy!

Bubble tea is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan and Taichung in the 1980s. Though there a few stories about Bubble Tea's initial creation, the original inventor remains unknown. Different types of black tea, green tea, oolong tea, and at times white tea are used. Some tea shops have adapted from the larger original sized tapioca balls to smaller varieties. Flavorings, fruits and even ice cream are being used to provide more choices to please all palates. Non-dairy milk products are being used successfully as well.
